Archna Sharma is a Program Associate with Global Health Strategies. Archna has experience working with development organizations in the livelihood and public health sectors on issues, such as fair trade, HIV/AIDS, sexual and reproductive health and rights, and clefts.
Prior to joining GHS, Archna worked with the International Planned Parenthood Federation (South Asia Regional Office), where she provided technical assistance to Member Associations in implementing projects on HIV/AIDS, family planning, and sexual and gender based violence, and developing concept notes and proposals. She has also worked with the International Resources for Fairer Trade where she conducted research and helped set up market linkages for fair trade products produced by agribusiness micro, small and medium enterprises in India. In the past, she has worked with Operation Smile India, where she was part of the programs team and conducted cleft surgery missions in multiple geographic locations in India.
Archna completed her M.Sc. in Microbiology from Panjab University, Chandigarh and her M.A. in Social Work from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai.
