Emily is a Senior Associate at GHS. Her interest in the field of global health began in the summer after her sophomore year, when she decided to study abroad in Kisumu, Kenya. There, she took a course on global health innovation, gained fieldwork experience in a local NGO, and explored strategies for malaria prevention among children. With the help of a global health traveling fellowship, she also spent six weeks in Rukungiri, Uganda working for the Initiative to End Child Malnutrition as the intern in charge of educational programming. In addition to these experiences, Emily worked as a research intern at the Tobin Project and volunteered throughout college as an advocate who helped struggling Boston-area individuals to secure employment, housing, and other basic needs.
Emily graduated magna cum laude from Harvard College in May 2014 with a B.A. in Social Studies and a minor in Global Health and Health Policy.
