Isabel is an associate at GHS. Prior to joining GHS, Isabel interned with the World Health Organization’s Social Innovation in Health Initiative (SIHI), where she worked on the intersection of technology and healthcare delivery in the arena of chronic diseases. She has conducted public health fieldwork in Ecuador, Nicaragua, and Panama and published research on type 1 and type 2 diabetes.  Isabel earned her master’s degree in Medical Anthropology from University of Oxford, where she studied as a 2014 Rhodes Scholar. She worked for Oxford’s Unit for Biocultural Variation and Obesity (UBVO) program, where she conducted research on the role of preventive healthcare in humanitarian crises. In 2014, she graduated phi beta kappa from Yale University with a B.S. in Molecular Biology and a B.A. in History of Science. While at Yale, she served as President of the Public Health Coalition and helped orchestrate the nation’s largest National Public Health Week.
