Salman is a Manager with the RMNCH+A project and works out of the Lucknow and New Delhi offices. He joined GHS in November 2013 and has since worked on the EEVI and TB projects. He started his career as a TV news professional, working first as a production assistant with NDTV and then with Reuters TV, where he wrote, edited and reported on subjects ranging from health to politics, sports and the environment.
He then worked extensively on Track-2 diplomacy on Afghanistan as a Research Associate with the Delhi Policy Group, a prominent think-tank, working with senior diplomats, academics and experts from across South and Central Asia during deliberations on the withdrawal of international forces from Afghanistan in 2014. Salman holds a Master's degree in Mass Communication from Jamia Millia Islamia, and a Bachelor's degree in English Literature from Hindu College, University of Delhi. An avid wildlife and history enthusiast, he is also an occasional writer of science and fantasy fiction.
