Nilanjana Bose is a Vice President at the Global Health Stategies India office. Prior to joining GHS, Nilanjana worked as a television journalist for a little more than ten years in two of India's foremost English channels – NDTV and CNN-IBN. She started her career as a reporter with NDTV, Kolkata in Eastern India and in her last position at CNN-IBN, New Delhi, she was Editor, Special Features – where she was heading a young team of reporters at the CNN-IBN Headquarters. In her career as a journalist, Nilanjana worked as a reporter, producer, anchor and script writer. She reported on a variety of issues ranging from politics, business and crime to conflict, gender issues and health from across India. In her journalism stint, she won several awards for the documentaries she did, including the Indian Television Academy Award, the Ramnath Goenka Award and the Chameli Devi Jain Award for Outstanding Woman Media person.
Nilanjana has served as a jury member for the Indian Television Academy Awards, and has been a panelist and guest lecturer at several journalism colleges in India.
Nilanjana is a graduate from St. Xaviers College, Kolkata and she studied Journalism at the Asian College of Journalism, Chennai.
