GHS in Africa

GHS in Africa

Since its inception, GHS has worked extensively in sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) on large-scale communications and advocacy campaigns around critical health issues, ranging from family planning and maternal health to malaria and neglected tropical diseases. Our work has helped inform policymakers, researchers, advocates and community leaders on opportunities for collaboration and external engagement around key global health issues.

GHS has a broad media network in SSA and has organized countless African media campaigns. GHS has also provided media support to a number of conferences held in Africa, including the 2011 International Conference on Family Planning (ICFP) in Dakar, Senegal and the 2009 Multilateral Initiative on Malaria (MIM) conference in Nairobi, Kenya. GHS has also provided communications and stakeholder engagement support on several multi-center clinical trials across the continent.

GHS also has an extensive network of consultants across SSA, including contacts in Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa and Tanzania.
